AVSL 2024/25: Round 3 Wrap

The third round of AVSL, saw us return to Keilor Park for the first time in 12 months. Our excellent form continued, once again finishing 2nd for the round and ensuring that we remained one point clear of Casey Cardinia on the ladder.

Our Men’s U20 team continued their dominance of the age group, narrowly finishing in second behind Eaglehawk. Our U14 Women continued their strong form as well, finishing 4th for the second round in a row.

Once again relays were on the program, this time it was the 4x200m. It was fantastic to see us once again field multiple teams.

Gurpreet Rai recorded 1,210pts on his way to making the top 3 males in the state. Gurpreet was joined in the top 100 males by teammate; Arnavjot Aulakh (1,020pts), Nicolas Bannan (931pts), Rajnihal Singh Bhullar (925pts) and Jasman Mann (905pts). Our superstar duo from our U14 girls, Anwita Prasanth (1,212pts) and Ojal Kurl (981pts) also made the top 100 on the women’s list.

The following athletes recorded PBs in the following events: Anwita Prasanth (100m, high jump and long jump), Ojal Kurl (100m), Reet Sandhu (100m and javelin), Alisha Xavier (discus), Gurpreet Rai (100m), Joe Liu (100m), Arnavjot Aulakh (100m, long jump and discus), Prem Bhatt (javelin), Jasman Mann (100m, high jump, javelin and discus), Rajnihal Singh Bhullar (100m, 400m, high jump, long jump, javelin and discus), Jasman Jhangra (100m and high jump), Ansh Chauhan (100m, high jump, javelin and discus).
