AVSL 2024/25: Round 7 Wrap

2025 kicked off with a sizzling round 7, as we saw the second half of the AVSL season get underway. With our Powerplay activated, the Preston army decended on the Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium in force. We topped the round with 21,112pts, collecting a valuable 20 ladder points in the process. With a successful Powerplay completed, Preston now sit on top of the Division 3 ladder on 64pts, 16pts clear of Yarra Rangers Athletics.

Congratulations to the following athletes on being named in the top 100 athletes for round 7: Chloe Grenade (1,209pts), Anwita Prasanth (1,177pts), Gurpreet Rai (1,254pts), Arnavjot Aulakh (1,129pts), Nicolas Bannan (1,029pts), Jasman Mann (1,013pts), Fatehaviraj Bhullar (934pts) and Rajnihal Singh Bhullar (904pts).

The following athletes recorded PBs in the following events: Navdeep Rai (100m, high jump, javelin and discus), Anwita Prasanth (long jump), Reet Sandhu (100m, long jump and discus), Jagjit Kaur (100m, long jump, javelin and discus), Gurpreet Rai (long jump), Arnavjot Aulakh (110m hurdles and long jump), Jasman Mann (100m, high jump, long jump and discus), Jigar Chhoker (100m, high jump and long jump), Jasman Jhangra (high jump, long jump and javelin), Ansh Chauhan (high jump, long jump and discus).
