AVSL 2024/25: Round 8 Wrap

Round 8 of the 2024/25 season saw us return to the Moonee Valley Athletics Centre. Another strong performance had us record 17,879pts and saw us once again finish in the top 3 of Division 3 clubs. The club currently sits in first place on the Division 3 ladder with two rounds remaining. With Casey Cardinia Athletics and Williamstown Athletic Club yet to play their Powerplays, it will be a tight contest over the remaining two rounds to see who, out of the top 4 clubs will take the Division 3 title.

Congratulations to the following athletes on being named in the top 100 athletes for round 8: Anwita Prasanth (1,094pts), Reet Sandhu (925pts), Gurpreet Rai (1,140pts), Arnavjot Aulakh (1,096pts), Jasman Mann (1,024pts), Rajnihal Singh Bhullar (889pts) and Craig Stephens (861pts).

The following athletes recorded PBs in the following events: Navdeep Rai (triple jump and shot put), Reet Sandhu (200m and triple jump), Jagjit Kaur (200m and triple jump), Fatehaviraj Bhullar (shot put), Arnavjot Aulakh (200m and shot put), Joseph Mazzocca (hammer throw), Jasman Mann (200m, triple jump and shot put), Jigar Chhoker (200m and triple jump), Jasman Jhangra (200m and triple jump) and Ansh Chauhan (triple jump and shot put).
