AVSL 2024/25: Round 9 Wrap

The penultimate round of 2024/25 AVSL season saw us compete at the Tom Kelly Athletics Track for the final time this season. With four Division 3 teams activating their Powerplays during this round, there was plenty of competition to fend off. Having completed the round with 18,864 points, Preston finished second for the round and secured 9 valuable ladder points. With one round left in the season, Preston sits comfortably on the top of the table with 81 points, 14 points clear of second placed Williamstown Athletic Club.

Congratulations to the following athletes on being named in the top 100 athletes for Round 9: Anwita Prasanth (1,220pts), Reet Sandhu (1,008pts), Gurpreet Rai (1,298pts), Arnavjot Aulakh (1,143pts), Nicolas Bannan (1,041pts) and Jasman Mann (1,025pts). A special acknowledgement to Anwita for stepping up and competing in the Open Men’s 4x200m relay.

The following athletes recorded PBs in the following events: Navdeep Rai (javelin), Anwita Prasanth (100m), Reet Sandhu (high jump and long jump), Aarthika Jeevithan (100m and long jump), Jagjit Kaur (100m), Gurpreet Rai (400m), Joe Liu (200m), Arnavjot Aulakh (100m, long jump and javelin), Craig Stephens (400m), Jasman Mann (100m, 400m, high jump and long jump) and Jigar Chhoker (100m and javelin).
